At Civis we are building a scalable approach to ensure that the process of public consultations
can be effectively utilised by both citizens and governments. We do this by:

  • Aggregating all open Consultations seeking feedback.
  • Simplifying them in accessible language to ensure citizens understand the implications and respond constructively
  • Conducting outreach to ensure relevant stakeholder groups are represented across socio-economic strata.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of the feedback gathered using AI-enabled tools, to ensure that the Government has constructive inputs to build on.
  • Build Government capacity to conduct effective public consultations.

About the Role

We are looking for a Social Media Consultant who can work with us for a 2-month period (July-August, 2020) to help build our campaign that aims to harness the social and creative power of young Mumbaikars and advocate for more green spaces in the city.


  • Design and build powerful campaign narratives and messages for the campaign
  • Create outreach and advertising plan to reach out to the target audience
  • Execute on the strategic plan to build persistent, viral, network effects
  • Develop high-quality campaign collaterals
  • Work with the internal team to generate quality content for social media and other channels
  • Promote, monitor and manage the campaign’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant
  • Discover and present new marketing insights by analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Document learnings from the campaign that can be replicated by Civis beyond the duration of the consultancy


  • Proven experience in campaign design and narrative creation for large scale campaigns
  • 2-4 years of experience as a campaign manager or relevant field
  • Great understanding of social media, online communication channels, and strategies
  • Proven experience of running large scale social sector digital campaigns will be a plus

Remuneration is comparable to development sector organisations
